What to see in Kas
Kas is a carbonated drink (soda) with flavors of orange, lemon and apple. Bitter Kas is also marketed, a bitter snack drink without alcohol, fruit juices with the name of Kasfruit and the Kaskol tail soda.
Its origin dates back to 1956, when to the brothers José María and Luis Knörr Elorza, descendants of Roman Knörr Streiff, a German brewer settled in Vitoria and manufacturer of the beers and local soda El As, they occurred to them to mix their soda with concentrate of orange juice. Thus arises the first orange soda with Spanish gas, five years before Fanta was marketed in Spain. His brother Javier Knörr Elorza occurs to combine the denomination of the original brand "the AS" along with the "K", initial of his last name, to form the current brand.
It began to be marketed in Vitoria, where the brand was originally from, and soon obtained popularity in northern Spain, helped by a campaign with the slogan "drinks Kas nothing more" and the achievements of the cycling team that sponsored for many years and that He got notable sports successes. Kas remains, with much difference, the most consumed fruit soda brand in northern Spain.
